How to Roast Garlic



  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 
  • Place 8 unpeeled cloves of garlic in a small, shallow baking dish. 
  • Using your hands, coat the cloves with 2 teaspoons of olive oil. 
  • Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of water or vegetable broth and sprinkle with a little salt. 
  • Cover with a lid or foil and roast in the oven for about 30 minutes. 
  • When ready, the garlic should be very soft and golden brown. 
  • Squeeze the pulp out of the skins to use.
