MAKES 11⁄2 CUPS (6 SERVINGS)

11⁄2 cups water2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons raw cashews
4 teaspoons potato flour
1 tablespoon onion powder
1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
1⁄8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until completely
smooth. Transfer to a saucepan and simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
2. Stored in a covered container in the refrigerator, leftover Simple
Brown Gravy will keep for up to 2 days.
