ANSWER: Few studies have evaluated the health benefits of raw food diets.
However, a low-fat diet that is rich in raw or cooked vegetables, fruits,
and other plant-based foods is loaded with antioxidants and other cancerfighting
nutrients. There are significant advantages to having vegetables
and fruits in their raw form, because cooking sometimes causes the loss of
some nutrients that are powerful antioxidants and help protect us from
developing cancer.
