Mixed Berry Smoothie Recipes for Smoothies - How Foods Fight Cancer
MAKES 4 SERVINGS
Frozen berries in smoothies add fiber, taste, and iciness, not to mention a hefty dose of cancerfighting compounds.
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 cup fortified vanilla soymilk or other nondairy milk
1 fresh or frozen banana
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons calciumfortified orange juice concentrate
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Stop the blender occasionally to scrape down the sides of the container
and push any unblended fruit into the blades with a rubber spatula.
2. Mixed Berry Smoothie is best served immediately. Leftovers may be
stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or frozen for up to 1 week.
Blend the mixture again before serving.
